FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What time is check-in / check-out?
Check-in Time is between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. / Check-out Time is by 11 a.m. the morning of your departure.

2. Can I get into my room earlier than 2 p.m.?
Housekeeping will turn rooms between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. therefore, it would be unlikely that you could occupy your room sooner.

3. What if I cannot arrive by 5 p.m. to check-in?
There is no problem if you need to arrive after 5 p.m., we would need you to call us ahead of time so we can make arrangements with you for a late check-in.

4. Is there a two night minimum stay requirement?
No, however some event weekends will require a 2 night minimum stay due to the type of event being held.

5. Is there on-site parking available?
We do have 4 assigned parking spaces to the left of the Inn for your convenience. There are 2 public spaces parallel to ours that are also available. Additionally, there is free parking along George Street and under the bridge. Please avoid parking in "Permit Parking Only" or at the apartments across from the Inn as you will be ticketed. If you have handicap parking requirements, just give us a call and we will reserve a space for you.

6. What is your cancellation Policy?
Because of our limited availability, cancellations affect us and other potential guests considerably. For this reason, cancellations or changes to reservations must be made 10 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. If you are to make a change or cancel your reservation within 10 days of your arrival date, you will be charged the full rate of the stay. All other cancellations or changes will be charged a $25 fee beginning April 1, 2013.

7. What type of breakfast is included?
All room rates include a complimentary home cooked hot entrée for two. The chef will choose the entrĂ©e of the day as well as the accompaniments. In addition, complimentary coffee, tea, juice, sodas, bottled water, snacks and daily fresh baked goods are available to guests 24 hours a day. Some of our favorite entrees that we serve are: Eggs Benedict, Stuffed French Toast, Homemade Belgium Waffles or Assorted Omelets. Fresh fruit, oatmeal and cold cereal are also available. Weather permitting, you will be served breakfast on the outdoor decks overlooking the beautiful waterfront. In the colder months, breakfast is served in the dining room.

8. What fun things are there to do in town?
Chesapeake City is a quaint town suitable for walking to all areas. We have award winning restaurants with indoor and outdoor dining, sure to please any palate. Check out the waterside Tiki Bar with daily live music at the Chesapeake Inn. Enjoy some hard shell crabs at the Taproom along with several other hot spots. Boutiques, art and antiques are found along all streets in town. You can also spend a leisurely afternoon in Pells Garden watching the passing ships and enjoying sweet treats at the Canal Creamery and Sweet Shop.

9. What other outdoor activities are there in town?
Bring along your rod, tackle and bait for some fishing on the canal's edge. You could also walk, jog, hike or bicycle along the canal road for several miles. The nearby basin gives way to a winding, nature filled creek for kayaking.

10. What makes the two suites stand out from the rest of the rooms?
Both the Chesapeake and the Annapolis suites boast much more spacious accommodations. Each have large bathrooms with both shower and Jacuzzi tub. They feature large flat screen televisions with ON Demand and free premium movie channels. Separate closet, in room refrigerator, ceiling fans and guest controlled heat and AC add to your ultimate comfort.

11. I know it's a small town, I won't be removed from civilization, will I?
No. We offer free Wi-Fi, printing capability and each room has a dedicated phone line.

12. Can I bring my children and pet?
We know that your children are well behaved and travel often; however, we cannot accommodate them if they are under the age of 12. We are not child proof and we want to be respectful of other guests that are here to escape their own. As much as we love our pets, we cannot accept them at our Inn as well.

13. Do all the rooms have a view of the water?
Yes. In fact, we are the only B & B in town that has all guest rooms facing the water with an outdoor deck and lounge seating per room.

14. You have 3 floors at the inn, how do I know which floor to choose?
The Inn sits high on the banks of the canal, therefore all 3 floors have excellent water views. Beyond that, it's all based on your preferences. You may want to choose the third floor if you want to sunbathe, since there is no roof overhead. Additionally, there are no guestrooms overhead. If you like to sit in the shade, either the first or second floor offer covered decks. The first floor is ideal if you need a handicap accessible room or have any limitations with stairs.

15. I'm getting married. Can you accommodate my wedding party and guests?
